My version of sightseeing.

Today’s tale began with an uneventful Sunday until there was a sudden downpour as my friend and I left for dinner. (We settled on the place right downstairs from our building. And as we sat down at the table, the rain disappeared from the sky. Weird.)

IMG_3826

Just thought I’d fill in as CNN anchor… JK, I’m still a print person.

Monday, we woke up bright and early for some meeting no one was quite sure why was necessary in the first place. But, then comes the exciting part… We went to CNN! (Every journalism major’s dream come true, right?!?!) It was so cool to see the “New Day” set and even hear from and meet with anchors Ashleigh Banfield, and Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota of “New Day,” as well as other employees, such as producers, news desk managers and members of the digital team. Well, as cool as it was, I’m still a print person and way more interested in writing than being on-camera or working the techy equipment. If only we could’ve visited a place more specialized in my field, oh wait, I guess that’s more where I work every day at my internship. After CNN (and I gave the digital services employee my business card: hey I’d write for their online team!), we headed to lunch and found this really good European cafe not too far from CNN and my office and I had a lox (smoked salmon, if you must) crepe. Because who doesn’t love a crepe?

After that, we ventured through Times Square to find the Viacom building, where we heard from a panel of Nickelodeon/MTV employees. (The first question someone asked was if they’d reboot 90s classics on Nick… Oh college kids…) It was interesting to hear about the production of the shows and their business model, but again, it was too production-heavy for my taste. But, the employee speaking at the panel did give us a tour of the former TRL studio that overlooks Times Square. That was cool, obviously would have been cooler if the stage was still dressed for something, but c’est la vie.

View from the 29th floor in my office, overlooking what feels like all of Manhattan.

Tuesday was yet another research day at work, where I sit at my desk and basically online shop for home decor and craft projects, not a bad job, right?!? Wednesday, I helped pack up a shoot and then our coolest task came: it’s very editorial-based, and I’ll fill you in more later as I have more details… but it’s so cool and like a dream come true for me!! That evening was our communications alumni panel a.k.a. a time for our school’s alumni to talk about why they love their advertising/PR work… a field not for me, so I wasn’t the most interested. Thursday was another research day, followed by my overwhelming need to Skype my brother just so I could watch the Big Brother premiere live (yes, I’m still obsessed with that show, and I’m so shocked with every twist!)

Friday was a unique day. First, I packed up some surfaces to be returned and then it became an errand day. My first task was to run to….

IMG_3844

Bloomingdales! First off, the store is ginormous (housewares was on the sixth floor) and full of gorgeous clothes and furnishings, but, alas, I had to focus on my work task.

I did some pretty interesting sightseeing along the way, take a glance at what I saw:

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Well, alright, fine: that’s my version of sightseeing (the fashion sights!) Then, I walked back  and went to the cutest art shop (it was huge) to pick up a few items needed for shoots. Then, I came back and met with one of the mag’s designers and we basically talked about fonts for 30 minutes. After that, the other interns in my department and I crafted! We made paper flowers! (The other interns weren’t as enthralled as I was to be crafting: hey, it relaxes me!) So, what job is better than shopping and crafting?? I came home to work on my UK visa application, so I could run to FEDEX to print it before it closed: success on that front. Then, I worked on wrote my paper (due today at 5 p.m.) until 12:45 a.m. … and here we are.

I’m not sure what the rest of day has in store yet, but tomorrow is a theater night, to see a certain Tony Award winner live… More on that in the next post.

Until next time, Miranda xx

My favorite looks from the Billboard Music Awards red carpet

With tonight’s BBMAs in Vegas, I thought it was appropriate to discuss my fave looks from the carpet.

kendall-jenner-jourdan-dunn-balmain-billboard-music-awards-2015-h724 First off, so excited to hear about the upcoming Balmain x H&M collab! (I mean, Justin Bieber’s Met Gala tux was epic!!) Jourdan Dunn and Kendall Jenner stun in the future collection, and I’ll def have to stop by my local store when the collection is released!

rs_634x1024-150517165629-634.ChrissyJohn-jmd-051715 Tonight’s hostess Chrissy Teigen looks perfect in her perfectly tailored and perfectly styled 70’s-inspired jumpsuit. It looks ahmazing on her. One of the night’s best dressed for sure!

rs_634x1024-150517170511-634.Taylor-Swift-Billboard-Music-Awards.jl.051715 And of course, Miss T. Swift looks perfect in the night’s biggest trend: jumpsuits. And her Bad Blood video? Epic. (Bonus: who caught her cats’ namesakes walking side by side? I did!) Watch it right now if you haven’t seen it.

rs_634x1024-150517155433-634.Danica-jmd-051715 DWTS alum Danica McKellar stuns in her silver, sparkly one-shouldered gown. Gorge.

rs_1024x759-150517170537-1024.OneDirection-jmd-051715 And here’s One Direction. let’s just stare at their beauty for a minute, shall we? (Liam’s smolder.) Plus, who heard Liam’s “we would like to share this with our brother Zayn??” Too adorable. (I can’t wait to see them live in their town: London! First, I saw them in my home state, and now the tables have flipped! Eeeep I’m so excited about it— best study abroad ever!)

rs_634x1024-150517161930-634.Ed-Sheeran-Billboard-Music-Awards.jl.051715 And Ed Sheeran also looks great for one of my fave artists EVER.

rs_634x1024-150517162817-634.Idina-Menzel-Billboard-Music-Awards.jl.051715 And there’s IDINA. Still can’t I saw her perform LIVE!! She’s incredible! If you get a chance, go see If/Then on tour (an awesome show and Idina will be reprising her role this summer!!)

Great looks aplenty, what were your favorite moments and looks from the show?

My New York City Bucket List

So, I’ll be living in NYC this summer and I decided I can’t live in one of the greatest cities in the world without creating a comprehensive list of everything I want to do (outside of my class and future internship, of course.)

1. Get good deals to see as many Broadway shows as time allows.

2. Wait at the stagedoor of said Broadway shows (it was so fun to do it at If/Then in March!)

3. Explore Central Park and many other cute parks

4. Wake up super early to attend one of Today/ GMA’s summer concert series (my friend and I already have plans!)

5. Exploring what “random” daily events, festivals and activities are happening around the city

6. Visit my favorite store, Topshop, of course (either location will suffice)

7. Find time to visit the different Manhattan neighborhoods

8. Go to a farmers market!

9. Shopping excursions (both for trendy pieces at retail and discount prices)

10. Go to the cupcake ATM because who doesn’t love cupcakes?

11. Try something new! ( In terms of an activity, food, fashion trend, place to visit, etc)

I’m looking forward to exploring such an amazing city like a true New Yorker. Bring on summer, I’m ready! xx

The fabulous Met Ball ensembles!

Well, you may know that I’m like obsessed with fashion, so what could be more exciting than the Met Ball red carpet?

CEMoSmXUIAEB_54 Lizzy Caplan looks like a grecian goddess in her Donna Karen Atelier gown, and has a flawless updo and dangly earrings to complete the look.

CEMkhk8UsAIkEJH Anne Hathaway is dazzling in gold, in a gown very fitting of the “China: Through the Looking Glass” theme of the event. And love the hood with her slicked-back hair!

CEMeYEcUsAAFV05 And there’s super-suave TFIOS actor Ansel Elgort, who looks dapper in his Tom Ford tux with slicked-back hair.

CEMibGNUIAALvoF Zac Posen instagrammed this shot of him and his date Katie Holmes. LOOK AT THAT GOWN. IT IS FABULOUS. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.

CEMeNeIUUAA6KMl  Emma-Roberts-600x900 Emma Roberts also instagrammed this shot in the car ride to the gala, and she looks flawless: from her gown (color and shape!), jewels, hair and her clutch: head-to-toe perfection.

CEMmyCpUMAA-C_E Jennifer Lawrence looks fab in her sleek gown with a floral crop top: bringing an edginess to the Met Ball. Also, love the high bun to finish off the look.

CEMpA0oUgAATJvW Love Alicia Keys’ tutu-esque tulle skirt with the crop top and matching blazer. Love it! Fabulous! I want that skirt!!!

CEMpciVWoAA4pvU What red carpet is complete without Sarah Jessica Parker? SJP looks amazing in her haute couture dress that epitomizes the event theme. And who else could rock a headpiece like Carrie Bradshaw?

Screen Shot 2015-05-04 at 7.55.33 PM  CEMrQORWEAEJ_yP “Gigi” Broadway star  Vanessa Hudgens looks ah-mazing in her red, bedazzled tea-length gown and the black, sparkly bird cage mask!!! LOVE! Definitely a best-dressed contender.

Screen Shot 2015-05-04 at 7.25.19 PM Anna Wintour, who could even critique her?

Screen Shot 2015-05-04 at 7.34.45 PM Tory Burch looks gorge in a simple floral gown, love the shoulder straps!

CEMtMlwVIAA4xyS Dianna Agron is bringing a simplistic elegance to the carpet, but wow, it’s stunning.

CEMtDcGUEAAept1 Selena Gomez in her sleek Vera Wang gown looks fab, and love the headpiece!

Screen Shot 2015-05-04 at 7.36.08 PM Georgia May Jagger looks totally edgy, but fashion-forward! Love the print, belt, sleeve length and flounce, and the hairpiece!

Screen Shot 2015-05-04 at 7.36.36 PM  Allison-Williams-600x900 Allison Williams: flawless as usual.

Screen Shot 2015-05-04 at 7.34.18 PM OH MY GOSH, Kerry Washington looks ah-mazing. Obsessed with the Barbie-pink Cinderella gown, and love the back straps with the bow!!!

CEMtptyWMAAIV3D.jpg-large Hailey Baldwin looks ahmazing in Topshop! I want her dress!

CEMxzFhUMAEqk7c Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looks gorgeous in her skintight, nude and sparkly gown. Very couture.

CEMxiJUVEAAW9QO Love Dakota Johnson’s sparkly Chanel dress with her wavy bob!

CEMzsqOUgAE-cKL.jpg-large And then Hollywood it-couple, George and Amal, who stuns in a red John Galliano ball gown. Gorge. Hair, dress; everything is perfection.

What were your favorite fashion moments from the biggest fashion event of the year?

Best Looks from the ACM Awards Red Carpet

Country music was out in full force last night in Texas for the annual ACM awards. And with that comes my red carpet breakdown! Here we go!

Screen Shot 2015-04-20 at 11.34.05 AM Kimberly of “The Band Perry.” I love this dress, which could almost function as a wedding gown. But, it’s gorge. Love it.

Screen Shot 2015-04-20 at 11.34.21 AM And let’s just look at Hunter Hayes for a second, shall we? #adorable

Screen Shot 2015-04-20 at 11.33.53 AM These two new Hollywood besties look gorge, and I’m totally obsessing over Reese’s dress: love the sparkles!

Screen Shot 2015-04-20 at 11.34.53 AM Love Jana Kramer’s dress! Everything about this is perfect for a young starlet to wear on the red carpet! I love it!

Screen Shot 2015-04-20 at 11.33.38 AM My namesake, Miranda Lambert looks very slim and gorge per always… (I think it must be the name, obvi… lol) But, loving the lilac and the draping!

Screen Shot 2015-04-20 at 11.34.36 AM Jessie James Decker and Eric Decker are the pinnacle of an adorable celeb couple, as seen on Instagram and their E! reality show “Eric and Jessie–” I wish that would come back on the air! But, their outfits are tailored to perfection and they look so glam! Love her ponytail with her simple white gown.

Screen Shot 2015-04-20 at 11.36.18 AM And no red carpet is complete without Miss Taylor Swift. T.Swift looks ahmazing here and I love her dress, the color and the cutouts! Gorge. And of course she couldn’t make a speech without plugging her newest tour right, lol?

What were your must-see looks from the night?

iHeart fashion at the iHeartRadio Music Awards

It’s Sunday night and the annual iHeartRadio music awards, which means it’s time for my red carpet breakdown! Here we go!

rs_634x1024-150329154207-634.Iggy-Azalea-iheart-Radio.jl.032915 Iggy Azalea: I like the jacket, shoes and pants individually just not together. It’s edgy and cool, but the see-through top and jacket are a little too busy with the printed pants. Also, with such a busy outfit, her hair should have been simpler.

rs_634x1024-150329154616-634.Meaghan-Trainer-iHeart-Radio.jl.032915 Meghan Trainor: I normally love her music and her style (i.e. what she wore to the Kids Choice Awards last night was perfection!), but this looks like a bad Homecoming dress from high school. I think it’s the sparkle jacket that crosses –oddly– in the middle of her tight, black dress. And her hair also evokes a high school dance type of look, not so much for a red carpet affair.

rs_634x1024-150329162033-634.Zendaya-iHeart-Radio.jl.032915 Zendaya: Lately, she’s been a risk taker in the fashion world (both with her clothes and hair), to put it lightly. But, here? It’s, like, a hot mess– though I like her skirt and shoes! Her top looks like a cheap men’s workout tank that she paired with a bandeau, making her look very much like Barney the dinosaur. Not a selling point for a music star or actor like her.She gets points for trying (at every red carpet), but not for execution, sorry Z.

rs_634x1024-150329163504-634.Nick-Jonas-iheart-Radio.jl.032915 Nick Jonas: Okay, so I like the concept of a plaid suit, very rock ‘n’ roll. But, I don’t like the plaid pants with the jacket. It’s too much. However, his stylist does a good job at getting fitted suits for Nick.

rs_634x1024-150329162937-634.Anna-Camp-iheart-radio.jl.032915 Anna Camp from “Pitch Perfect:” I like the concept, the dress, the fit: all of it. However, I’m not sold on the straps. I think something a little more substantial would look better, and support her frame better as well.

rs_634x1024-150329161447-634.Adam-Lambert-iheart.jl.032915 Adam Lambert: Definitely one of the best dressed guys on the carpet. The leather pants, blazer and heeled boots are the epitome of rock ‘n’ roll and perfect for the iHeartRadio music awards.

rs_634x1024-150329162802-634.Ariel-Winter-iheart-radio.jl.032915 Ariel Winter: The “Modern Family” starlet looks great. I love her whole outfit from hair, dress, shoes and clutch. However, I think it might be too mature for such a young (under 18) starlet. But, again her stylist pulls goods outfits for her (i.e. her Kids Choice Awards outfit last night!).

rs_1024x759-150329160853-1024.5-Seconds-of-Summer.jl.032915 And here’s 5SOS because, yea. Love their edgy looks; they look great and make great music.

rs_634x1024-150329164232-634.Taylor-Swift-iheart.jl.032915 And last but not least, probably the night’s most anticipated star: Taylor Swift. Her dress is pretty, though, I’m not sure how I feel about the side cutouts. It’s a little weird. I love her shoes. The one thing I’m not a fan of here: her hair. I’m not sure what the idea behind the sixties-inspired bob, with a bump-it thing and the bangs. It’s not looking good or Taylor-like. With that dress, I wanted to see her trademark “1989” wavy bob. That would have been much better for the carpet.

What are you thoughts on the red carpet looks from tonight?

And the Oscar goes to…

Today is February 22, 2015 aka THE OSCARS, which means it’s time for my red carpet fashion breakdown! Here we go!

First things first, at 5:40 p.m., Patricia Arquette (Supporting Actress nom for “Boyhood”) announced that she skipped her manicure to focus on launching her new philanthropic site, givelove.org. What a neat way to bringing the trend of #AskHerMore to a focus.

Alright, here’s my fashion breakdown:

B-e7t5fIUAAgC2K Here is Anna Kendrick in custom Thakoon, which is GORGEOUS. Love it. The color, the shape, her hair: everything is perfect just like her performance as Cathy Hiatt in “The Last Five Years.”

Screen Shot 2015-02-22 at 6.06.25 PM Next up we have Josh Hutcherson (or Peeta) looking oh-so-dapper in his suit with slicked-back hair.

Screen Shot 2015-02-22 at 6.03.43 PM “Jane the Virgin” star Gina Rodriguez looks ahmazing, however, this picture doesn’t do her justice. The best shot: when the E! cameras caught her getting out of her car, a much better angle of the dress.

929622-8bdc639a-bada-11e4-a5f5-f6d8716b3afa E! anchor Guiliana Rancic looks as gorge as always, with the lace and the bright red color.

B-e_kNbCYAA7wMg Jamie Chung looks gorge. I love this dress. It just screams Oscars! LOVE LOVE LOVE.

813-master-2048-v1 And of course, here’s our host, Neil Patrick Harris himself. One, NPH is so hilarious, he just needs to host everything. If you haven’t seen him hosting the TONYs, watch it here before the Oscars begin/ during a commercial break. He’s hilarious and I can’t wait to see what he does at the show. Ellen did a great job last year, so it’ll be interesting to see if he can top her pizza order and Twitter-breaking selfie.

857-master-2048-v1 Faith Hill in J. Mendel. Love the dress. Very well-tailored.

986-master-2048-v1 Margot Robbie looks head-to-toe gorgeous in her Saint Laurent gown and vintage necklace that was made for the Duchess of Windsor in the 30s (wow!). Everything is perfection: from her dress, jewelry, red lip and her HAIR. AH-MAZING, PERFECT. Best dressed, for sure.

1122-master-2048-v1 Laura Dern: love her dress by Alberta Ferrati. And she did a great job in “Wild.” Love how she told Ryan Seacrest about her Bulgari ring, made in honor of Cheryl Strayed’s mother Bobbi who she played in the film. How inspiring.

1066-master-2048-v1 “50 Shades” star Dakota Johnson in Saint Laurent posing alongside her mother looks pretty. Not sure how I feel about her dress, other than the color, but I love her simple ponytail! It’s perfect.

1150-master-2048-v1 BEST DRESSED COUPLE ALERT. Adam Levin and wife Behati Prinsloo (both in Armani) look incredible. No words to describe this picture other than PERFECTION.

1294-master-2048-v1 EDDIE REDMAYNE. He just looks too cute. Love how he and his wife Hannah are matching in navy. Too cute. And hopefully, we’ll see/hear more from him tonight. 🙂

1260-master-2048-v1 And Eddie’s costar in “The Theory of Everything” Felicity Jones looks STUNNING in Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. LOVE. AHMAZING.

1362-master-2048-v1 Another great celebrity couple. Chrissy Teigen looks gorgeous in Zuhair Muriad and her hubby John Legend looks dapper in Gucci.

1343-master-2048-v1 Rosamund Pike. Gorgeous. And she looks like this pretty much after just giving birth? Woah.

1411-master-2048-v1 Zoe Saldana looks like this after just giving birth to twins? Double woah. But, gorgeous dress, jewels and hair.

1194-master-2048-v1 Marion Cotillard looks gorgeous in Dior Couture. However, this picture doesn’t do the front of her dress justice!

1460-master-2048-v1 Miles Teller! The “Whiplash” star looks suave and dapper here in his Prada tux.

1483-master-2048-v1 Lupita Nyong’o looks incredible in custom Calvin Klein by Francisco Costa. Gorgeous. And all the little pearl details! It’s made of 6,000 pearls!

1596-master-2048-v1 Oscar favorite Julianne Moore looks gorgeous in her CUSTOM Chanel gown, but she always looks gorgeous.

1627-master-2048-v1 It’s Kerry Washington in a gorgeous white Miu Miu peplum dress. LOVE IT.

1701-master-2048-v1 Rita Ora: gorgeous. End of story.  Breathtaking.

1918-master-2048-v1 Reese Witherspoon: Gorgeous. Her hair and that dress: so sleek, so elegant, so classic. Love it. Always on the best dressed list: Reese.

1992-master-2048-v1 Gwyneth Paltrow’s dress is perfectly tailored and a good color. However, I’m not sure how I feel about her shoulder-ruffle thing.

1976-master-2048-v1 Chris Pratt and Anna Faris. LOVE HER DRESS. And he helped carry her train so it wouldn’t get wet… Awww too presh. But, love this celeb couple and her dress is so Oscar-worthy. LOVE.

2054-master-2048-v1 J. Lo’s princess moment dress, but not her party dress, and she looks absolutely STUNNING. GORGE. One of the best dressed, for sure.

2230-master-2048-v1 Jennifer Aniston looks stunning. Gorge. But, she always looks amazing.

2255-master-2048-v1 Emma Stone looks incredible. Truly breathtaking. Ah-mazing. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Perfection.

2322-master-2048-v1 Keira Knightly looks gorgeous here in Valentino. Love the tulle, the flowers, the appliqués. Love it.

2457-master-2048-v1 And… one of my favorite celeb couples: Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum. Both look great, as their outfits are very well-tailored and look impeccable, classic.

What are your thoughts? And be sure to follow along with me on twitter as I discuss the biggest moments from the actual show! xx

Fashion Week: the best looks on and off the runway from models, celebs and street style looks

It’s that time of year again for fashionistas: Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week fall 2015! Here’s a break down of my favorite looks from the runway, celebrity guests in the audience and rockin’ street style on the town in NYC.

gty_zosia_mamet_150214 Zosia Mamet at Jill Stuart. Love, it’s preppy winter, however, she’s a little short for that look. But, it’s very well put together.

gty_blake_lively_150213_1 New mama Blake Lively at Gabriela Cadena stuns only months after giving birth to her baby girl. Everything here is perfection, hands down. GORGE.

rs_634x1024-150213174455-634.Best-Looks-New-York-Fashion-Week-Monique-Lhuillier.jl.021315 Monique Lhullier. Glam and so chic.

rs_634x1024-150213135138-634.Best-Looks-NYFW-Jason-Wu.jl.021215 Jason Wu. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

rs_634x1024-150212144624-634.Runway-Best-looks-New-York-Fashion-Week-Richard-Chai.jl.021215 Richard Chai: it’s perfect for winter and it’s well-tailored.

rs_634x1024-150212151134-634.Honor-Best-Looks-NYFW.jl.021215 Honor: gorge, love it!

Cushnie Et Ochs - Front Row - MADE Fashion Week Fall 2015 Jamie Chung at Cushnie et Ochs… So chic, from the dress, hair and shoes.

rs_634x1024-150214094542-634.Deirde-Schwiring-Street-Style-NYFW-AW15.jl.021415 E! street style: love this look!

rs_634x1024-150214094541-634.Ariana-Street-Style-NYFW-AW15.jl.021415 E! street style: love the way the prints and colors were put together!

rs_1024x759-150213135642-1024.Rebecca-Minkoff-NYFW.ms.021315 Rebecca Minkoff. Very hippie-ish, but it’s a great look, edgy too.

rs_634x1024-150213101610-634.behati-nyfw Behati Prinsloo. Love this look. The dress, necklace, coat, hair and booties are perfect.

rs_1024x759-150213134227-1024.Zimmerman-NYFW.ms.021315 Zimmerman. Very much tailored. Love the concept. Great line.

463440984_10 Jill Stuart. Quintessential fall chic.

463366530_10 Jason Wu. Love it! So gorge. His whole line, really…

look_18 Trademark: gorgeous, I’d actually wear this, well, not the shoes (too much).

More great looks sure to come later this week!

‘Music’s Biggest Night’ all starts here… on the red carpet.

Today is the annual Grammy Awards (Fingers crossed for Ed Sheeran and Hunter Hayes! Third times the charm!) and so, it’s my annual red carpet fashion breakdown. Here we go…

Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 6.45.25 PM It’s MADONNA. Who can critique the original Material Girl? My only question: why did Madge arrive so early into the red carpet show? She’s MADONNA.

Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 7.03.10 PM slide_398532_4967176_compressed Ariana Grande: let’s start with a compliment– her and Big Sean are so adorable (in this picture and on the carpet getting their pictures taken. #adorable). Now, her dress… I like the white part, gorgeous, except what is that silver “flap” on the dress??? It’s, like, a hot mess. Her stylist should have left it without out the silver part… the white is a classic, gorgeous. The silver is just a mess.

Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 7.03.25 PM Another adorable couple: Nick Jonas and his GF Olivia Culpo. My only question: why did Nick arrive so early into the red carpet show? He’s NICK JONAS. Oh, maybe because he’s not nominated, right?

slide_398532_4966998_compressed Kelly Osborne: edgy, couture, gorgeous.

slide_398532_4967206_compressed Jessie J: love this dress, it’s so gorgeous! However, I’m not a fan of that sheer overlay on her shoulders. It would’ve been absolutely impeccable as a strapless dress. But, I love it regardless.

Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 7.08.24 PM Blast from the ’00s past: Jess McCartney looks dapper in a green velvet suit… However, did something happen to his face? (uh oh, or is it just a lack of sleep?)

slide_398532_4967258_compressed Gwen Stefani looks edgy and perfection. Tailored to perfection, HOWEVER, not a fan of the MC Hammer-type pants. I would’ve preferred the pants to have been longer and straightened out. But for her: flawless.

rs_634x1024-150208162844-634-meghan-trainor-grammy-arrivals.jw.2815 Meghan Trainor looks gorge: this photo does not do her dress justice. Watching her E! interview: it’s impeccable.

rs_634x1024-150208161346-634.miranda-lambert-grammy-awards-020815 Miranda Lambert: first off, we share a name, so obviously she’s awesome. Second, I love her dress. It’s fun, edgy– perfect for the Grammys. Plus, that pop of pink is perfection. And her dress is tailored to perfection. Great job, Miranda, great job.

Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 7.42.11 PM I just had to add Ed Sheeran because, duh. I like how he wears suits and tuxes with sneakers: it just makes his fashion more his own personal style. And he rocks it.

Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 7.44.02 PM Sia and her mini-me Maddie Ziegler (from Dance Moms!) matching in well-tailored suits and giant, frizzed Chandelier wigs. As a Dance Moms fan, OMG that’s so huge for a little 12-year-old dancer, to walk the red carpet at the GRAMMYS, after starring a video that was NOMINATED; all that before age 13: wowza.

Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 7.58.11 PM Katy Perry in a Zuhair Muraid dress straight off the Paris Fashion Week runway… gorgeous. Love it. Her dress, hair: impeccable. However, I might chosen less strappy heels or lose the belt.

Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 7.58.22 PM Lady Gaga. Gorgeous, for once. This picture doesn’t do her dress justice.

slide_398532_4967624_compressed Kim Kardashian West: worst dressed of the night for me. It’s like a super sparkly robe… Also, where are her hands??? Lol. The one thing I like about this look: her hair. It’s gorge.

Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 8.06.14 PM Rihanna’s princess moment as she’s the very last person to arrive on the carpet. So pink and so fluffy.. “It’s so fluffy I’m gonna die!!!” — Sorry, I just couldn’t resist.

Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 8.02.40 PM ANNA KENDRICK. OH EM GEE, she looks AH-MAZING. Love it. Tailored to perfection, per usual. Hair, suit, everything is perfect. And I can’t wait to see “The Last Five Years” next weekend and hear the cast album Tuesday on iTunes!

Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 8.05.50 PM T. Swizzle is gorgeous. Love her dress, shoes, jewelry and how the colors of all three look amazing together. Perfect, Taylor, just perfect.

Those are my best- and worst- looks of the 2015 Grammy Awards. Thoughts?

Screen Actors Guild 2015 Red Carpet Recap

So, the SAG Awards happened tonight, and I wanted to post a fashion review, but like everyone’s taught growing up, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. That and I have no idea who half the people were who walked the carpet. So, on to the looks I did like.

slide_397634_4898268_compressed Julie Bowen of “Modern Family” looks gorgeous. I love a tasteful, tulle gown. And this looks great.

slide_397634_4898008_compressed And Bowen’s costar Sarah Hyland in Vera Wang. Ok, so, I like this dress, however I’m not digging the top. It’s just a little low-cut for her particular build.

la-et-sag-awards-2015-red-carpet-pictures-014 I just had to put the oh-so-dapper and adorable Eddie Redmayne on here, just because.

slide_397634_4898250_compressed Julianne Moore in Givenchy looks a bit like a shiny mermaid here. But, it’s a gorgeous dress. I just wish her hair was up in a bun. Would’ve made the whole thing look more sophisticated.

slide_397634_4898314_compressed Felicity Jones in Balenciaga. This is the epitome of high fashion/haute couture and I think she looks positively regal. However, the color looks slightly… nude. Which is never a good look anywhere your photo will be taken.

slide_397634_4898318_compressed Emma Stone is the best BEAUTY look of the night, because, let’s face it, her “dress” is a hot mess. (It’s like a tailored men’s blazer that she added a sheer layer underneath to make it look like a dress.) But, her hair and makeup looks flawless; impeccable.

slide_397634_4898166_compressed Viola Davis. Gorge. She is very good a finding fabrics/colors that accentuate her skin, making her look radiant.

slide_397634_4898288_compressed Julia Roberts and I share our camp in common, so, obviously she’s awesome. And her Givenchy pantsuit looks impeccably tailored.

slide_397634_4898306_compressed And finally Sarah Paulson, you know, I’d say how great this dress was except I’ve already said that when Taylor Swift has rocked it… on a red carpet. I don’t do repeat reviews, sorry Sarah.

Any hits and misses that you noticed?
